Hi! Thanks for responding to my post. I started 20 mg. phentermine on April 7th and took another 20 g. on April 8th. I want to stress that I only took two pills total. Suddenly, I had this intense urge to urinate 24/7. I immediately stopped taking phen. because I could not handle what I then thought would be a temporary side effect. Well, fastforward five months later and dozens of doctor visits, tests, and medications with no relief. I have the urge to urinate 24/7 sometimes so intense that I cannot sleep. I have seldom left my house in the last five months. I often have an intense pressure like my bladder is being pressed on or might fall out. I also have new symptoms now of intense burning like acid inside me. I test negative for infections and have been thrown into the interstitial cystitis diagnosis. If you do not get better that is probably what you will be diagnosed with too. An IC diagnosis is not a good one to get. It has a list of symptoms that anyone would fall into with basically no known reason for why you have it. There is no cure for it and it is tricky to treat. I never had problems with my bladder until the very day that I started taking phen. If I have IC, I know it was brought on by phen. I believe if this medicine is known to alter and cause heart valve problems that it definitely can alter and damage your bladder. I wish that I never would have taken it. Also, I have talked to so many people that developed yeast and bladder infections the minute they started taking phen.-some having several infections in a row. These leads me to believe even more strongly that these pills definitely do effect your bladder. Sorry this is so long. I feel for you and pray that yours does clear up. I just wanted you to know that my problem never cleared up. I wake up everyday wishing to have my bladder removed or to be shot. I'm now trying physical therapy of my pelvic floor before trying more invasive options like hydrodistention of the bladder. In physical therapy it was discovered that I have high tone bladder. If you research phen. it is found to cause high tone. I would love to hear back from you and compare symptoms. Please let me know how you are doing or if you find something that helps.
