OMG, hubby and I saw the best movie last night.
We laughed so hard we cried, and several times during the movie we actually cried sad tears, then we'd be laughing again!
The movie is
The Family Stone. Anyone heard of it? It's got: Diane Keaton, Craig T. Nelson, Dermot Mulroney, Sara Jessica Parker, Claire Danes, Luke Wilson, and Rachel McAdams. It is so good. Sara Jessica Parker was so good in this movie. I've never been a fan of hers, but she really blew this one away! And Luke Wilson played the best laid-back, no problems kind of character.
Warning though---very very very sad ending. I left the theater crying, and even started crying again on the way home. It's family safe, so you don't have to worry about nudity or too much cursing. The mom (Diane Keaton) belts out a couple G.D.'s (which I can't stand), but it wasn't enough to detract from the overall movie.
Someone, anyone, please go see this movie! I hadn't seen it advertised at all on tv, I just went to my theater website to see what was playing, and I read about it there, then went to the website for the movie.
It will definately touch your holiday heart.
