Hang in there - it can be done! I have read several places that if you can follow a regular exercise plan for 3 months, it becomes so routine that you are much more likely to stick with it. So maybe you can set a goal to follow a regular plan starting now through July. The new Consumer Reports issue has a cover story on weight loss and it said that every person in their study who had succeeded at long term did it through diet and exercise - none had kept weight off through diet alone.
I have never enjoyed physical activity - I even found a way to be excused from PE class in high school! But since I started exercising the first week of March, I have felt so much better, I hate to miss it for one day. I don't necessarily look forward to it and there are times when I have to make myself get started, but I love how I feel when I'm done. It really is addictive. I started at 190 pounds the end of February. I am now at 163 and I have seen such a difference in my body that the exercise has made possible. My arms look muscular instead of flabby. I have definition in my upper abs, I've lost inches off my baby belly roll that I didn't think anything would help. There are benefits to doing it - the thing is just getting started! Good luck! You can do it! I just remind myself each day that it's an investment in myself. It's my gift to me. You won't regret it. Take it one day at a time and start slow. You are more likely to stick with it if you don't over do in the first few days! Let us know how it goes - you'll have to post in the tredders now! That keeps me honest - I feel bad if I can't post what I have done!
