Very well explained Samia.......thanks for sharing. I think the U.S. is being as patient as possible & trying to find exactly who is behind all of this rather than just immediately reacting & taking military action against the wrong people/organization. It seems all evidence is pointing to bin Laden even though he is repeatedly denying any involvement. I don't think anyone in the U.S. wants to see anymore innocent people die--whether they are Americans or any other nationality.
This morning I heard that Pakistan has made a pact with America to surrender bin Laden to us..........that would be amazing if it were to happen, but just the fact that they are willing to try to do this reassures that it's not just the U.S. that thinks he & his organization are guilty. If Afghanistan is going to harbor him, they know the penalties. Unlike the coward terrorists, we are trying to resolve this as humanely as possible & saying exactly what our intentions are.
What I don't understand is if Israel is the main problem here, why aren't they directing all their hatred & anger at Israel? It's not just America that these terrorists strike, they leave their mark everywhere. Why?
I don't know if the tv stations around the world are capturing what is really going on here in America. This hasn't torn us apart at all. We are stronger than ever, more united than ever & more supportive of each other more than ever. It's amazing how something so awful can bring out so much good in our country. I suppose that happens because as we all know, good outweighs evil and there is far more good in this world than bad. It's unfortunate that we have to be reminded in ways like this though.
