Thumbs up

This is AMAZING! I just saw this and I was thinking I should tell someone...

Anyway, Northwestern Memorial Hospital has a center called the Wellness Center. Dr. Kushner is above the whole thing (his first book came out earlier this year). The program is AMAZING!

He has a wonderful line of dieticians that you see regularly (monthly) and then periodically you visit with him. When you first go..you have a consultation with him, take a test to see what are your strong/weak personality in relation to food.

You find out if you are a "mindless muncher" or "fruitless feaster" or many more types. Then, they give you worksheets to work on to break your habits. You meet with the dietician to discuss your current patterns and see where you can make lifestyle changes.

Whether you choose to take a drug or just work on your eating is all up to you. The dietician I see is named Dawn Jackson and she is WONDERFUL! They are both so supportive...they'll even accept calls or emails when you have questions, doubts or just need a kick in the a**!

Check them out...I highly recommend it. I'm not sure what it costs, because my medical plan covers it (HMO-BCBSIL). They also can incorporate yoga, excercise classes, massage therapy, counseling...and much more. They have a website...I just can't remember the URL right now. But if you get to the Northwestern Memorial Hospital website, there will be a link.

Let me know what you think and if you check it out. I just started phentermine 6 weeks ago and lost 18 pounds! Before I took phentermine I discovered that I can control my weight. I even went from November to February - with holidays, change of job and not being able to visit the center and only gained 10 pounds. I know that may not sound successful since I gained...but my point is that over about 4 months (and they were the holiday months) and change of job, etc. I only gained 10 pounds. I owed that all to the habits I had broken through this program.

It's great!
Best of luck to you,
Jennifer
