Answer
Phentermine is available in the following doses; 15 mg, 30 mg and 37.5 mg.
Doctors normally start their patients either on phentermine 30 mg or phentermine 37.5 mg. Some Doctors prefer to prescribe phentermine 15 mg initially and increase the dose if necessary. Each patient's reaction should be monitored and changes in dosage made according.
Phentermine is available in tablets or capsule form. The tablets can be spilt to halve the dosage but the capsules cannot be broken.
Popular daily doses of phentermine are listed below. Most commonly one phentermine diet pill is taken in the morning so that the effects are felt throughout the day. Phentermine is known to cause insomnia if taken too late in the day, this is another reason why it is taken in the morning.
Daily doses of phentermine
- 1 x 15 mg phentermine
- 2 x 15 mg phentermine (one in the morning and one after lunch)
- 2 x 18.75 mg phentermine (one in the morning and one after lunch)
- 1 x 30 mg phentermine
- 1 x 37.5 mg phentermine
- 1 ½ x 37.mg phentermine (1 x 37.5 mg in the morning and half a tablet in the afternoon)
Over time your body may become used to the effects of phentermine and your
doctor may decide to increase your dosage to prolong the suppression of hunger
throughout the day.
